The Pool Opens at 3pm
Traditions meet again as the historic Boulder Elks Lodge and the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby meet on the decks of the Boulder Elks Pool & Patio for a family friendly event for all of Boulder and beyond to enjoy the greatest two minutes in sports!
Yes, it's a Derby Party featuring many of your Derby food and beverage favorites, but it's also a pool party highlighted by warm waters, pony races for the family and games throughout the event for kids and adults alike. There is literally something fun for everyone!
TV
We'll throw the broadcast up on the patio walls to give you a great outdoor viewing experience even if you are of jockey stature.
TIX
Keep scrolling down the page to pre-order your tickets and skip the line at the gate. Adults get in for $25, Kids under 13 are in for $15. You can also pay at the gate.
FUN
Pony float pool races, a chalk focused horse craft station, wandering trivia, a backstretch best call contest and much more fun for the family!
GAMES
Foosball, ping-pong, corn hole, my 1974 Jarts game (kidding), for that downtime from the pool!
BETS
Bring along some scratch and enjoy some harmless betting on the Derby race. We'll have our own cheat sheet for you to use, or you can just pick your favorite named horse!
BEVS
Yes, there will be Mint Juleps, along with some delish Spring favorites, lemonades and drinks that fizz for adults and kids.
JAMS
Right after the Derby, pull up a seat, sing along or hit the dance floor to the super vibes of local favorite Sky Band.
We promise everyone gets to stomp and sing along..
BENEFIT
Proceeds from the Derby Party benefit the good works of the Elks Scholarship Fund; providing local High School Seniors with college scholarship opportunities for decades.
